Register/Login

First, you must Register.

Once you have registered, please be patient. Registration is approved by an Administrator and may take up to 36 hours. You will receive an e-mail regarding your registration.

Then you may Login. Once you login, you will immediately be taken to your main "album page" (which will be blank until you add albums or images).

Adding Albums

This step is not mandatory, but may assist you in your organization. If you are a frequent poster, you may wish to create an individual album for each series (or chapter, as you wish) to help you locate your images easier.

Click on Add Album (after logging in).

Enter in an appropriate Name. The rest you can leave blank as the information is not really needed.

Click Create.

Feel free to tweak any of the album settings to your taste. Once finished, click on your user name if you'd like to add another album, or the current album name if you'd like to immediately add images.

From your user name, you will see a list of albums. Click on a thumbnail or no thumbnail link to enter that album.

Once in an empty album, you can add images by clicking on Add a photo! or Add Items.

 

Adding Images

On the User Interface on the left hand side, click Add Items.

You will be taken to a screen with four tabs:

From Web Browser -- this only allows the uploading of a few images at a time and not very useful for batch uploading.

From Local Server -- ignore this.

From Web Page -- this only allows the uploading of one image at a time and not very useful for batch uploading.

Upload Applet -- USE THIS ONE. It's very convenient and the applet replicates the file dialog box on your computer (how cool is that?).

You may receive the following Warning:

Ignore it, and click OK. It shouldn't return. You should now be on the Upload Applet tab.

Do as the applet tells you and press the SPACEBAR or ENTER key on your keyboard.

Then click on Add Pictures...

You will then be faced with what looks like your PC's file dialog box.

You know how to use this to select files. Once you've selected the images, click Add.

You can continue adding images to your queue by clicking Add Pictures... on the applet's tab. Once you've added all the images, click Upload to upload them to the server.

The applet provides you with a little confirmation box that's indeed uploading your images! Nifty, eh?

You will then be back to an empty applet tab.

Click on Back to album on the left hand side User Interface.

You should see thumbnails of your images.

Getting the Code for Yaoi Daily Posting

On the desired image(s) on your Gallery page, simply copy the line of code in the Tag edit box and paste into your post!

That's it!

Deleting Your Images

There is a cap on your account as to how much storage you can use (currently set to 5 MB). This should last quite a while, but not indefinitely. Do not create a new account. Delete older images. Remember, Yaoi Daily is not a place to permanently archive scans, but to showcase the talents of the artists. Please delete your older images.

On any image on your Gallery page, click the drop list, <item actions> and choose Delete Photo.

You will then be taken to a list of your images, complete with thumbnails, where you can check off as many images as you like and then finally click Delete.

You will then be returned to your Gallery page. Thanks for keeping your Gallery clean (well, as clean as it's going to be considering the contents ;-) ).
