Community
What is the purpose of Yaoi Daily?
Yaoi Daily is a LiveJournal community devoted to the sharing and promotion of yaoi manga, doujinshi, and art in a positive environment, free from criticism for your tastes. Yaoi Daily is an eye candy (image posting) community.
Who are the moderators?
The moderators are: xandria, thefacelessevil, and sadieko. hidden_hero is the Yaoi Daily Mascot. The moderators can be collectively e-mailed to answer any questions that you have or offer feedback. We strive to provide a loving community that you enjoy visiting each day.
How do I view the posts?
You must join and also be logged in.
There are too many posts every day cluttering my Friends List. What can I do?
Create a LiveJournal filter for viewing busy journals and a regular LiveJournal filter for viewing friends and other 'not as busy' communities.
I can't see the images in one post, but I can in others. Why?
The poster's server is down (hopefully temporarily), or their bandwidth has been exceeded. Check back in a few hours (or even days if it's a bandwidth issue).
I can't: join / log in / remember my password / remember my username etc. Help?
Please go to LiveJournal's FAQ for help.
Why is the community Friends Only?
Compliance with LiveJournal's TOS requires age restricted communities (such as Yaoi Daily) to be Friends Only.
The community page's font text is: too big, too small, or not in a style I can read. Why?
The LiveJournal style chosen and set up for the Yaoi Daily community page relies upon your browser's default settings for text view. This enables visitors to change the font type and size to their preference (see your browser's help files on this subject). If you do not wish to change your browser's default view settings, you can alternatively create a filter via your LiveJournal to view the community through your journal's view preferences.
General Rules
Why are there so many rules?
Yaoi Daily is a sizable community with a fair number of posts each day. Considering the diversity of yaoi manga, doujinshi, and art, organization helps visitors find and view what appeals to them. Additionally, specific rules prevent conflicts and disagreements that may arise and disrupt the community as a whole.
Why is there an age restriction if any one (regardless of age) can buy even hard yaoi in Japan?
Yaoi Daily uses a blogging service (LiveJournal) owned and operated in North America where adult material is restricted to those 18 years of age and over. To avoid any potential problems that could arise from those under 18 viewing "adult material", Yaoi Daily restricts access.
Is my yaoi site acceptable for listing on your Linkage Page?
We will feature most yaoi related web sites (i.e. archive, fiction, art, online comic, commercial endeavour, reviews, BBS, fan site etc.). Please send us your: (a) LiveJournal user name, (b) Web site name & URL, (c) Brief description of your web site, and (d) Banner image if available. We do reserve the right to reject any link requests and will inform if that is the case. Feel free to send a reminder e-mail if you don't see your site listed within a couple weeks.
Why did you give me a warning and state that my remark was TMI (too much information)?
While most of us find things in the community to get hot and bothered about, it can be uncomfortable to be exposed to other peoples’ sexual fantasies or personal habits. These subjects are not only private, but are off-topic for the community.
Objective information about certain sexual practices (i.e. BDSM, safe sex etc.) that relate to the post, or general comments about what turns your crank (i.e. "I think that uke's ass is hot and needs to be fucked!"), are acceptable. If you have any questions about whether or not something is TMI, please feel free to ask.
Why was I given a warning over my comment that I thought the artwork in the post sucked/was not to my taste?
Yaoi Daily strives to be a place where members can post without being criticized for their tastes. Even if you didn’t mean it that way, expressing dislike for a certain art style, or the presence of women in yaoi media, can make the poster feel bad for enjoying it. Please keep the commentary positive and on topic (although remarking that a character is nasty for a certain action within the story is not deemed "negative", it's just stating the obvious). Also, the warnings are there for your benefit, so please take notice of them.
How do I know if a poster allows off-topic comments, chatting and/or constructive criticism?
Members are encouraged to reply to posts respectfully (bearing in mind that TMI and negative comments are not permitted). However, a poster who permits any combination of off-topic comments, chatting and/or constructive criticism in the comments of their post will say so either in the header information or body of their post. If there is no mention, then the poster does not allow any of these and we ask that you please abide by their wishes. A poster may also express what types of comments they do not wish in order to reinforce their position.
If you wish to initiate an in depth discussion regarding a manga or mangaka, post some of your favourite scans and invite discussion. Why not offer up your opinions of your favourite manga and mangaka by posting some scans along with your review? We're sure you'll find lots of people to chat with about your most beloved works.
What is considered off-topic?
Out of respect for the poster and the theme of the community, comments should remain on topic (unless the poster gives permission): Please no "I got the first comment", "what is your icon from?" or comments regarding gay rights issues, media news clips, etc. This cuts down on spam and can prevent disagreements and arguments that might disrupt the community as a whole. Please feel free to e-mail someone privately with a comment or question.
What is considered chatting?
Chatting is not a typical, respectful, on-topic comment which is always encouraged. Yaoi Daily is primarily a visual based community for sharing and enjoying yaoi manga, anime, and art; although if a poster gives permission, you may indulge in in-depth discussions within the comments of the post. Please note that regular, on-topic comments are always welcome, but "chatting" pertains to runaway comments/discussion, numerous comments by the same person throughout a post etc. (i.e. three individuals involved in a 25+ comment discussion regarding a particular sexual position the seme and uke are in within one of the scans displayed by the poster). Please abide by a poster's “No chatting” wishes as this cuts down on spam and can prevent disagreements and arguments that might disrupt the community as a whole.
If a discussion has surpassed the poster's comfort level, the poster has every right to freeze a thread that they feel is getting out of hand. Members are encouraged to take off topic discussions and banter to private e-mail.
What is constructive criticism?
Unless the poster gives permission, constructive criticism is not allowed in the comments of a post. Constructive criticism involves a thoughtful discussion, free from simple and solely negative remarks. While a negative point may be discussed, it should be justified and balanced with positive aspects as well. You may wish to offer your viewpoint, but understand that everyone is entitled to their opinion and they may not see eye to eye with you.
If the discussions have surpassed the poster's comfort level, the poster has every right to freeze a thread that they feel is getting out of hand. Any abusive behaviour should be reported to the mods by the poster or other members.
Pre-Posting
I have some scans to post but I'm not sure if someone's already posted them. What should I do?
While it’s nice to present something that hasn’t been shared before, it’s not required and there are always new members joining who may not have had the chance to see what you’re offering. So feel free to post what you have as long as it fits within the community guidelines.
Otherwise, you can review the last few months’ worth of posts in the the calendar (click on “View Subjects”), to see if your scans have been shared recently. We enjoy seeing something unusual or rare from someone’s personal collection, and a constant influx of new material keeps the community active and fun. But again, it’s not a requirement.
I have some scans I want to post, but I don't want anyone to take them.
Then don't post them. It's THAT simple. This is a community of promotion and sharing -- you can't expect others not to take or even use. Share for the joy of spreading the love of yaoi.
I have some scans I want to post, but there are so many rules and I don't want to make a mistake.
The posting template has been provided for your easy use; just copy, paste and edit! If you are unsure that your post follows the rules or have any questions at all; double check with a mod. It may take a few days, but we’ll be happy to provide feedback.
If your post does have errors, we’ll comment to tell you what’s wrong so you can correct them. If absolutely necessary, we’ll delete the post to conform to community rules, but don’t be discouraged! You can still repost and we send you a copy of your code to do just that. We will always tell you why it was deleted and how you can correct any mistakes. The rules exist and are enforced so that all members can enjoy the community.
Do I need to obtain permission from a scanlation group before posting the scanlation?
Netiquette would say "Yes" but it's not necessary. At the very least, find out what their distribution rules are (some groups have very strict regulations on the distribution of their scanlations). If a scanlator contacts you with a request to remove or cease posting their scanlations, please abide by their wishes.
Yaoi Daily is not responsible for monitoring the rules that scanlation groups impose regarding the distribution of their scanlations -- that is the responsibility of the scanlator. Scanlators should only contact the moderators with copies of all correspondence if the poster refuses to cooperate.
Where can I host my images?
Either with a web space server provider or on a free/inexpensive host service, such as Photobucket, or Pix8. There are a lot of good host sites out there, so it’s worth your time to browse the net for options. Please do not post any images containing advertisements or redirects to any image hosting sites.
Fablespinner has kindly provided Yaoi Daily members with an Image Hosting Archive for use when a member's regular image host runs out of bandwidth. If you use this service, please remove your images from the archive a few weeks or so after the original post.
I want to share some images, but don't want a barrage of comments e-mailed to me. What can I do?
Set the Comment Settings to "Don't E-mail". This assists posters who wish to review the comments in their post at their leisure, without feeling pressured by an abundance of e-mail that may result from a permitted runaway discussion.
Posting Rules
What do you mean by commercially published?
Items created for the “mass market”. A manga, novel, or art book that has been produced by a book publisher. A BL game that has been produced by a software company. An anime that has been produced by an animation company. An authorized production of phone cards, post cards or collector cards of works created by a mangaka.
While doujinshi are not mass produced, Yaoi Daily invites scans from doujinshi printed in quantity (such items are often found for sale on JP Queen and Mandarake). Yaoi Daily also accepts the posting of screen caps from fan made BL games.
Why can't I post more than one day's worth of scans from a licensed manga?
That would be in serious violation of copyright laws. Publishing companies in North America take action against those who infringe on their copyrights whereas publishing companies in Asia tend to be more lenient. However, we welcome your review (with some sample scans) on your latest acquisition and encourage such a post to help others with their purchasing decisions.
I have just over 15 images to post. Can I add a link to the extra images within my post?
There are no exceptions to this rule. No links to extra images, as that is not the purpose of this community. Yaoi Daily provides posts with up to 15 images, directly visible in each post. Split your post up over several days if necessary -- cliffhangers aren't necessarily a bad thing.
What exactly is considered an acceptable "page" toward the allowable 15?
(a) is an example of 2 pages.

(b) is an example of 1 page because the artwork clearly extends over 2 pages.

(c) is an example of 1 page.
i.e. 3 images of (a), plus 2 images of (b) and 1 image of (c) equals a page count of 9 pages.
I'm not certain if what I want to post is acceptable. Is there a quick list of what is allowed?
Permitted:
Prohibited:
Why can't I post fanart or fan made items?
The Yaoi Daily community is for the promotion and sharing of commercially produced yaoi manga, anime, some items bearing artwork, plus doujinshi and screen caps from fan made BL games. Please share your fanart, fan comics, icons, wallpaper etc. with fellow Yaoi Daily fans at the Yaoi Daily Cafe.
Why can't I post with comments turned off? It'll save on my bandwidth, which I don't have much of.
People enjoy commenting and thanking you for your post. Once a post has been viewed, most individuals’ browsers are set to reload from a cached copy rather than pull directly from your bandwidth, so turning comments off does not help your bandwidth. If the ~13,000 members of this community drains more bandwidth than you can handle, you might have to obtain another image host, use the Yaoi Daily Image Hosting Archive, or not post. Don’t worry, you can still enjoy the community offerings without posting yourself.
Why can't I provide a link back to one of my personal LiveJournal posts with more links, downloads, images, discussions etc.?
Yaoi Daily is a place to directly post your favourite, cherished, and hottest images. The community provides instant access (and gratification!) to one through fifteen images per post without clicking all over the place to get what you want. If you want an in-depth discussion, then by all means encourage one in your post (write an entire essay about the images if you like).
If you have a yaoi web site then provide us with the relevant information and we’ll post this on our Linkage Page.
I don't have much bandwidth. Can I just post thumbnail images that people click on to view the larger images?
No. Images must be displayed fully in each post. Members should not have to click on anything to view the images from within the post. Remember, this is an eye candy community providing instant gratification. To diminish the strain on your bandwidth you can either resize your images or sign up for another image host account. There are also relatively inexpensive web hosts that can be found with some research.
Could posters make lj-cut text descriptions and icons work safe?
Text isn't likely to get you into trouble at work and icons don't pose much of a threat either. There is always a moderate amount of risk when you surf LiveJournal at work, but if you feel the Yaoi Daily community may be a problem, consider creating a "not work safe" filter for any friends and/or communities that might post in a fashion that is not acceptable at your work place.
Could members look before posting a comment to a poster whose code is incorrect? A poster only needs one notification that there is something wrong with their post.
While this would be common courtesy, imposing such a rule might be deemed excessive. Posters should likewise ignore the flurry of repetitive comments to the best of their ability.
Why don't you permit posting of yaoi published outside of Japan? Americans produce professional and beautiful yaoi too.
The decision is not personal nor do we look down upon homoerotic comics produced outside of Japan. Yes, there are incredible artists from Korea, France, America etc. However, given that most community members desire Japanese/manga style yaoi (which is difficult to moderate since the perceived Japanese/manga style is based on a very personal opinion), and since manga was the original theme of the community, we have decided to only allow works that originate from Japan. "Manga" is, by definition, Japanese (according to both Japanese and North American producers).
Moreover, unlike Japan, countries such as America are very strict about copyright infringement and licensing (as are many artists who produce homoerotic works). We'd rather not attract their attention, and trust that the members share the same concerns.
There are other Internet groups that celebrate yaoi produced outside of Japan and we suggest that you them seek them out. After all, yaoi does make the world go 'round!
Posting Format
What do I put in the Title?
In order to clarify the source and assist in our purchases, it would be useful if posters could note the actual book from which the scans are posted rather than just the title of the story. For example, chapters found in anthologies and magazines eventually wind up in their own tankoubon and it's helpful to know which anthology, magazine or tankoubon your scans appear from. You can make note of this either in the Title of the header information or in your Notes.
What is the difference between a manga, doujinshi and magazine?
Manga is a commercially published Japanese comic book.
Doujinshi is a Japanese fan produced comic book based on someone else's fictional world from manga, literature, film etc.
Magazine is a Japanese produced weekly or monthly anthology publication of considerable size. They are often printed on newsprint quality paper, and are also referred to as "phone books".
What do licensed, raw and scanlation mean?
Licensed is a manga that has been officially translated into English (usually by a North American publisher).
Raw is a publication in its original Japanese language.
Scanlation is where the original Japanese language text is replaced with fan translated text in another language.
What's a BL game, screen cap, art book, novel illustration, phone card, post card, shitajiki, and collector card?
BL game is a Boys' Love game for the PC or PS2 (usually), but Yaoi Daily also permits screen caps from fan made BL games. Image captures are often presented from the games for the community's enjoyment.
Screen caps are static screen captures from an anime. Please do not post gif anims or motion video.
Art books are scans from a mangaka's art book which could include samples from one series or many series'.
Novel illustrations are scans from artwork found within BL novels (as opposed to actual manga).
Phone cards in Japan are often produced with artwork from various mangaka.
Post cards of a mangaka's work can appear in manga, magazines or can be purchased individually.
Shitajiki are also called pencil boards and are usually a plastic writing surface displaying a mangaka's artwork.
Collector cards of a mangaka's work are purchased individually like any other trading or collector cards.
What's the difference between providing a web site link or download link and when do I do either?
First, please only provide relevant web site links pertaining to the content of your post and within the following guidelines. The rules break down like this:
You must provide a web site link if you are posting scans from a licensed manga. Link to a place where the manga can be purchased commercially (i.e. Amazon etc.).
You may, if you wish, provide a web site link to a scanlation group, free fan translation, or a fan sub anime when you post raws. You must provide a web site link to a scanlation or a fan sub anime if you post scanlation pages or fan sub anime screen caps. Link to the scanlation or fan sub group's web site only. The only exception is for those who wish to provide a link to a specific bittorrent entry on a bittorrent web site.
You may, if you wish, provide a downlink link for a manga or anime that you are hosting (or by way of a file sharing service). Do not provide a download link to a file hosted by anyone other than you with the exception as cited above in the web site link posting rule.
You may, if you wish, provide a relevant web site link to a publisher, mangaka or an online purchasing source (i.e. JPQueen, BK1, Amazon.co.jp, but not a private seller). You may also provide links to more information on a topic mentioned in a post (i.e. pocky, yakuza, pearling, sounding, meat buns, etc.) Do not provide web site links to personal sites/journals, advertisements, fan art or fan fiction. Please feel free to share any advertisements, personal and fan links with fellow Yaoi Daily fans over at the Yaoi Daily Cafe. If you have any questions at all or need clarification, just ask us and we'll get back to you as quick as we can!
I don't understand when I should provide a download link or not. Do I have to?
You do not ever need to provide a download link. Yaoi Daily is an image posting community, not a file sharing community. Even if people ask you to provide download links for scanlations, videos etc., you do not need to provide these. If you wish, you can provide links to main download sites (i.e. bittorrent sites where the download is featured, a scanlation group's web site etc.) from which your presented scans or caps were taken.
Do I have to provide a YouSendIt link of a zipped file containing all images I post?
No, you need not ever provide a YouSendIt (or similar service) link. If some posters wish to do so, then that is fine, but it is NOT a rule. Even if someone asks you, you need not comply.
If you feel that you are bothered by requests, please post a message such as "Sorry, I do not provide zip links, so please do not ask. Thanks." within your post.
What kind of purchasing information can I provide?
As an optional header item to help out a fellow yaoi addict, please feel free to provide a purchasing link to a major commercial entity (i.e. JPQueen, BK1, Mandarake, Amazon etc.). Please place this information within the LJ-cut.
I don't understand what's supposed to be in the header information. Help?
We are very strict about the header information so that it is consistent and easy for everyone to decide whether or not they wish to click on a post (not everything will appeal to everyone). You may wish to use the posting template to help you out.
Please keep unnecessary verbiage out of the header information. You need not write a lengthy description of why something is not work safe. Posts are either "work safe" OR "not work safe" -- there is no in between. Don't forget additional warnings (i.e. BDSM, shota, fur, non con etc.). You can also use the following image as a guideline:

Once a post is clicked on, it should look as so (please note what resides above and below the main lj-cut tag, which is denoted by a red line):

Do I have to post every page from a chapter/book or screen cap from a game when posting it to Yaoi Daily? Can I just post some sample images along with an archive (i.e. zip, rar etc.) file?
Yep, go right ahead! You don't have to post every page from a chapter or book, or screen cap from a game; just post the amount you're comfortable with.
If you have an archive file you wish to share and you'd rather not make numerous posts (for bandwidth reasons, etc.) you can post several select images (up to the maximum permitted) along with a link to the zip, rar, etc. of the image collection.
Please only post archive files that you are hosting on your server or that you have uploaded via an upload service such as YouSendIt or MegaUpload.
Post-Posting
I'm tired of all the scanlations being posted. I want some raws.
By all means, please contribute. We'd love to see what you have in your collection. Don't forget to scroll past the posts that you don't like -- that's what the header information is for.
I'm tired of all the hard yaoi being posted. Why can't people post some softer yaoi?
Please contribute and encourage others to do the same. We'd love to see your favourites. Variety truly is the spice of life.
Why don't you create a searchable database so we can easily find what's been posted already?
We do not have a searchable database, and in the past have relied on volunteers to maintain an archive of organized LJ memories. Unfortunately, with an average of 15 posts per day, this became far too time consuming and very much a moot point since posters are not required to indefinitely host images they post. Moreover, Yaoi Daily is not an archival or file sharing community (there are many such sites already out there). Yaoi Daily is an eye candy and image posting community. However, you may wish to peruse the last month's calendar subject headings.
Why can't posters use LJ's tag feature for organization and to help members find older posts?
Several reasons. LiveJournal caps the number of posts per tag at 100, making the feature unusable for Yaoi Daily's purposes. Moreover, there are possible variations in the spelling of both titles and mangaka due to either typos or romanization differences -- again, this does not provide an effective organization system.
We would like to keep the rules simple and as few as possible. Too many rules are prohibitive to the enjoyment of the community.
Lastly, Yaoi Daily is an image posting/eye candy community, intent on promoting a vast array of talents and titles. Yaoi Daily is not a file sharing community or an archive (there are plenty of those already). We do not require that posters host images indefinitely. Consequently, organizing older posts where the images and links are no longer functioning is moot.
If you are concerned about posting something that's already been posted (duplicate posts are permitted, by the way), simply review the last couple of month's posts from within the calendar -- click on the month's View Subjects link to review.
What do I do if my bandwidth runs out unexpectedly?
With ~13,000 members, be prepared for a drain on your bandwidth. One daily poster pushes about 1.5 GB of bandwidth per day, and some free services cap bandwidth at 2.5 GB per month. However, kicking a little cash ($25 per year) in the direction of Photobucket provides unlimited bandwidth for your future use. You could also provide YouSendIt links (or other such upload service links) in your edited post (beneath the cut).
If none of these are an option, just delete your post so as not to tease the members and repost at a later date. You may also wish to consider obtaining an additional image hosting account (free e-mail addresses from G-mail can be useful in obtaining an additional image hosting account.
Fablespinner has kindly provided Yaoi Daily members with an Image Hosting Archive for use when a member's regular image host runs out of bandwidth. If you use this service, please remove your images from the archive a few weeks or so after the original post.
How long should I keep up the images I post?
As long as possible, although at least one month would enable those who do not visit the community regularly to view your images.
All I see are the same scanlations being posted over and over. I want something new.
We don't restrict duplicate posts, although do encourage people to review the calendar before posting.
Please contribute a rare gem from your own collection to inspire others.
Moderating
Who makes the community's rules?
Most of the rules come from feedback, suggestions, and concerns shared by the community members. Members are encouraged to send in any of the above via e-mail and/or comment on regular mod posts.
How do the moderators enforce the rules?
If a post or comment doesn’t follow community rules, then the mods will do one of the following, depending on the nature of the infraction:
(a) Posts containing the following are deleted and the poster informed through e-mail and/or comment: no images, advertisements, over 15 images, more than 1 post per day, artwork, fan made item, lack of "not work safe" warning, images outside a cut tag, licensed manga repeat post, scanlation of licensed manga repeat post, and offensive content.
(b) Requests for editing of a post which is left up include: inappropriate web site link (depending, may require post removal), inappropriate download link (depending, may require post removal), insufficient header information, forgetting subject line, and forgetting links to past posts.
(c) Comments containing the following may be removed or replied to: TMI, and negative comments.
E-mails and comments usually follow a template that is used for everyone. Please remember that moderation is not a personal attack; rules are enforced to prevent conflicts and disputes that might disrupt the community as a whole. We encourage you to share any concerns or questions you might have with us before they become problems.
You deleted my post saying that I posted twice in one day. Why?
You may post only once per day. The date and time cited within your post reflects your LiveJournal settings (i.e. If your LiveJournal time clock matches the current time in your region, and you post at 3:45 a.m., the time of the Yaoi Daily post will be 3:45 a.m.). You will not be able to post again until 12:01 a.m. the next day.
What's "work safe" and "not work safe"? Can you provide some examples of what is and what isn't work safe?
"Work safe" images include: chaste kisses, light touching, snuggling, hand holding, open shirt and similar.
"NOT work safe" images include: Any nudity below the waist, oral sex, anal sex, fingering, fluids, exposed asses (even partially), erections & bulges visible through fabric (underwear, trousers, sheets etc.), sloppy kisses etc.
If there is ANY doubt whatsoever, be safe and label your post "not work safe".
Please click on the thumbnails to view the full size images (please note that the full size images are definitely NOT work safe).
But what you say is "not work safe" would be acceptable where I work. What's the problem?
The terms "work safe" and "not work safe" are used as general terms (as outlined above) to let people know about the level of sexual content in a post.
Why did you freeze and delete a thread?
Moderators will freeze and delete a thread if the comments grow negative or disrespectful to the poster, other members, or the moderators. The comments are removed to prevent unnecessary fights or conflicts.
You froze my reply so no one can respond to it. How come?
Moderators rarely freeze a thread without deleting them, so if your thread was frozen, it was probably the original poster. They are free to do so if they feel the thread has gotten off topic or strayed into a conversation they weren’t comfortable with. Please respect their wishes. Remember, if you need to carry on a conversation you can go to another LiveJournal user directly by way of their journal.
I don't like a discussion or comment in my post. What do I do?
We encourage members to freeze or delete troubling comments in their posts. If you feel something has gotten out of hand or have a concern, e-mail the moderators with details.
I see someone breaking a rule. What do I do?
Please e-mail the moderators with appropriate links and information. We will tend to this as quickly as possible, and thank you for bringing this to our attention.
Manga
Where can I buy manga?
Where can I find English language yaoi?
How can I find a review about a manga?
Check out Slash-kun's Reviews first and after that, use a search engine on the title, mangaka or even ISBN of the book you're searching for reviews on. For English licensed yaoi, check out Boys on Boys Between the Covers' manga review section.
Where can I find out what scanlations are available?
What's IRC and how do I get scanlations from IRC?
IRC is a chat interface that is often configured for file sharing (usually scanlations). You can learn about setting up IRC here, and then once you have that configured, read about leeching manga from IRC here.
I'd love to create scanlations from my manga/doujinshi. How can I learn to do this?
Check out the following resources:

What does otaku, OVA, shoujo, bishounen, tankoubon and all these other phrases mean? I'm a newbie and afraid to ask.
Fear not, we've all been there. Aestheticism has a manga glossary here, and a Yaoi specific glossary here.
Banning
I'm almost 18 and you banned me, why can't I stay?
Because you're not 18.
I'm 18 now, how can I come back?
Send us an e-mail with your LJ Username and a polite request.
Why did you ban me?
Because you have repeatedly broken the rules and we are serious about our rules.
