Reading Manga

Translation

Introduction

There are two main types of translations:

You may also possibly find a synopsis or review of a specific title, providing a sufficient overview to help you enjoy the story.

Searching the Internet

I tend to search for translations, scanlations and then a synopsis to help me understand my books. If I don't find any translations or scanlations via the regular channels, then I use a search engine to find any information possible. I will put items such as the following into search engines:

And so forth. Also replace names and titles for their variations as well. For example, Higuri Yuu is also known as Higuri You. Titles may be in English or Japanese. Try anything and everything that makes sense. Also, omit words such as "translation", "scanlation" and "review" -- perhaps you'll find a fan site with more information. And also try running a search on the names of some characters from the story if they're unique enough.

I use Vivisimo and Google as my main search engines, although tend to stick primarily to Vivisimo as it organizes the results quite nicely.
