Why?
After several months of subjecting everyone on my LiveJournal friends list with daily scans from Ludwig II, my friend, Holly, was so moved as to create a little doujinshi in her own inimitable style. I love these little comics to death. What's wonderful about them is that Holly was not into yaoi and further, not even really interested in manga. That she was so moved to create these comics just thrills me!

Reading the Doujinshi
Read these from left to right as opposed to traditional manga and doujinshi which is right to left.
I like Holly's use of vertical English lettering for "Japanese". While it takes some getting used to, it's rather clever.
All I can do is shake my head at this one. *chuckle*
This was definitely Holly tipping her hat in my direction concerning my own obsession with LEGO although I can't help but wonder what Ludwig II might have accomplished with enough LEGO -- imagine the castle models he could have built!
Poor Hornig -- always trying to help the King. Holly really captured this aspect of their relationship well. Don't you just want to give 'Nig a big hug?
This is my favourite. I love the presence of Lohengrin in the manga and this scene with the non corporeal lover was always so dramatic. Holly always thought Lohengrin's physical appearance was akin to a "sissy boy" -- *snicker*.
Ludwig and his ever wandering hormones... err, erection. Poor poor Hornig.
*chuckle* Very cute.
OK, I laughed my ass off at this one.
I so wished that an anime would be made from Ludwig II. Could you imagine? Mind, if they didn't remain true to the manga I'd be upset. Even better would be a live action movie. *drools at the thought*
Ahhh, real life... what would happen if? *chuckle*
*LAUGH* It's good that Holly can laugh at herself. This truly shows just how new Holly is to manga!
And that is precisely what I'd say -- just before torturing the lovely little Holls. Now where's Hornig with an escape plan when you need him?
This is my favourite scene in the manga (as you can tell by this web site and the image I choose for it). This is such a cute rendition of that moment.
One More From Holly
This was something Holly drew after I revealed that Hesselshubert would be replacing Hornig as Ludwig's secretary/head of stables. Holly finds that ducks serve multiple purposes -- like a club.
