yaoi.caDr. Ten Translation Project
Background
The English speaking yaoi community has been blessed with a unique opportunity to receive a professional translation of Dr. Ten's 2 volume The Map of Tokyo Savage and its sequel, A Passage From Servant Boy (all 6 volumes), Koisuru Oresama (2 volumes), and as of November 2006, 4 recent Dr. Ten doujinshi (two Fullmetal Alchemist and two from the Passage-Map Universe).
I would ordinarily put my efforts towards petitioning one of the North American publishers to licence the Koisuru-Map-Passage series, but anyone who is familiar with the books should be able to understand that its numerous taboo subjects make its licensing highly improbable. In other words, Koisuru-Map-Passage will likely never be licensed in North America, and this gripping saga is quite in need of translation.
The Project
The translation of the these manga volumes and doujinshi are being performed not only by a professional manga (including yaoi) translator, but a major yaoi fan as well and someone who is very enthusiastic regarding this series. For reasons that I hope you'll understand, I cannot disclose this person's identity but suffice to say that this translator's résumé reads exceptionally well and she has intimate knowledge of manga, yaoi and the industry, all of which will provide a very worthy translation of this series.
The end result will produce a text translation of the aforementioned volumes, free for distribution, to anyone who wishes. The translation itself will never be for sale. From the translation a scanlation will also result. I will post the translation and scanlation links here as they come available. Anyone else is naturally free to distribute or host the translations and scanlations provided no monies are asked for -- this includes sites that ask for donations (such sites can link to this site which will always have direct downloads available).

At the moment, donations are not actively being sought for further translations. However, there are more Dr. Ten manga that many of us would like to see professionally translated. If you would like to contribute to future translations, please do so. If the monies are not used, they will be returned. Thank you.

You may distribute these via your own ftp, web site or IRC provided that you keep the entirety of the file(s) together and do not omit or modify any pages in any way.
You must cease distribution if the manga is ever licensed in the English language.
